Taylor 5757 Digital Glass Body Fat Scale Review
I bought this scale just to use for weight. I didn’t really need to body fat function. The scale is great. It is very accurate. It also gives your weight in 10th of a pound. It will flash a few different (but very close) numbers before it “sticks” the final number. I’m not sure the other reviewer waited for the final number. It just takes a few seconds. I am now using the body fat function. I had to go online to find out what a healthy body fat is for me. I wish a chart had been included in the directions.

Taylor 5757 Digital Glass Body Fat Scale Overview
At first glance, it is not easy to determine that this scale from Taylor is a body fat scale�. The body fat �electrodes� are invisible on the glass platform, giving a clean, clear look to the scale. The platform is larger than most to accommodate most foot sizes, yet still allows for a clear view of the readout. Yet, this is an accurate body fat scale as well � it measures body fat and body water to the precise 0.1%, and operates in normal or athlete mode (athlete mode is for highly fit individuals, exercising more than 10 hours per week). 10 memories store the personal set up data. Two lines of data (weight and body measurements) display together on the two line 1.6� readout. The tempered glass platform is 8mm thick and feels stable. Plus, this scale is accurate up to 440 lbs and reads to the 0.2 lb increment. Runs on lithium batteries, which are included.

Accurate weight, extremely inaccurate BMI – A. Schroeder – Illinois
I bought this so I can track weight and BMI. The scale weight is accurate, but the BMI number is off on the high side by 10 percentage points. Also, every time you want to use the BMI/weight measurements, you always have to run through the entire setup procedure. That’s too cumbersome. If all you want is an accurate scale, this is a good buy for the money, but don’t bother if you want to track BMI.

seems like an ok scale,but i wont know for sure until late November when i next visit my heart doctor and they weigh me,im a big guy my weight usually ranges in the 275-280 range and this scale has it at 279 or 281 every time so far so good,but we will see.
“Sticky” weight – cognym –
Unlike other reviewers, the problem I had with this scale is that the weight seemed to “stick” when there would be a slight variation in weight. When I weighed myself every morning, the weight would be the same number. The number will only change when the weight difference would be about 2 lbs or so. I bought the scale to track my weight gain during my pregnancy, and the scale made it like I gained 2-3 lbs in a day, and the weight would be consistent for over weeks. I didn’t know that was the problem with the scale at first, and I thought it was just my weird weight gain, until I weighed my two nieces, K and L. They both are close in weight, but I know they don’t have the same weight. However, when I weighed K, the scale would register 36.5 lbs. I weighed L, her weight would also say 36.5 lbs. However, if I weighed K first, then weighed myself (a lot more than the 40 lbs range 
), then weighed L, L’s weight would be 37.6 lbs. Now if I put the K back on the scale right after L, K would weigh at 37.6 lbs, same as L’s. Unless, of course, I weighed myself in between, then K’s weight would consistently be 36.5 lbs, and L’s weight would always be 37.6 lbs. I tested this lots of times, with different individuals, and the results are always the same.
So, if you are looking for a scale that would give your approximate weight, within 2-3 lbs, then this is a pretty good scale. However, if you want to use this scale to track your weight gain/loss (pregnancy, diet, etc.), it might be misleading.

Bought it a Sam’s Club for around . Good deal, right? Too bad I had to return it. Similar to other reviewers, it would take a few tries until you would get an accurate read out. I did use the fat/water functions, and it would give me two different weights when I used the functions and when I did not. I followed the instructions to recalibrate when given the error message, just hated having to do that over and over every time I used it. Took it back for an exchange to try another one, but they were out; which is probably a good thing since it seems more than one has this problem.
It’s a great looking scale, liked the easy to read display that showed your weight along with fat % and water % all at the same time, and the glass with invisible electrodes is very cool. Again, too bad it just doesn’t work the way it should.

Solid scale. Very accurate. Needs to be adjusted fairly often, but once it is zeroed out it will give you an accurate reading. I like the markers, they make it easy to track any fluctuations in weight.

Health o Meter HDR900-05 Digital Scale, Black Review
It does what it’s supposed to do.
So far as I can tell, it’s accurate. I weighed some books on the kitchen scale, put them on this and got the same weight. I weighed myself 2 or 3 times in a row, it gives the same answer each time. I change my weight a bit (remove clothes, drink water) and the displayed weight changes a bit. I mention this because some scales, which display weights to the tenth of a pound, only change the displayed weight when the weight changes by a full pound or two. Fake accuracy is annoying.
The scale is well designed in that it’ll give the same reading even if you’re not perfectly centered on it. I tried putting all my weight on the front or back – it displayed the same weight. Other scales using the same strain gauge tech aren’t as consistent.
I thought it was broken shortly after I started using it. My displayed weight dropped by 20-30 pounds, sometimes I would get the ERR display or a the LO battery warning. Turns out the lid of the battery case had fallen off and the battery, hanging loose, was not strongly connected. Reinserted the battery, snapped the lid back on and there have been no other problems.
I like that it uses a 9v battery. The scale I had before used a watch type CR2032 and it would exhaust that battery in a month or two! I think this scale won’t need a new battery for years.
The reliability bit is an assumption. I’ve only had it a few days – if it breaks down or starts acting wonky I’ll update this review.
